Here’s why practicing semen retention with a vasectomy is smart:

If you have a vasectomy, 95%+ of your ejaculate is exactly the same as before your operation. A vasectomy only cuts the tube that connects your testicles to the rest of your ejaculatory system. (Your ejaculatory system contains your prostate, seminal vesicles, bulbourethral glands, urethra, etc).

To put it another way… A vasectomy only prevents sperm from joining the party in your penis. And sperm is a VERY small percentage of the party.

Neurologically, an ejaculatory orgasm before a vasectomy is identical to an ejaculatory orgasm after a vasectomy. Your brain still goes through the same rush of neurotransmitters that give you the pleasure response (dopamine, serotonin, etc). And it’s still followed by the refractory period too (prolactin).

The benefits of semen retention are the same.

If you have a vasectomy, you can still get all the same benefits of not ejaculating for 7 days. You can get the same benefits of not ejaculating for 30 days too. You’ll still get improved mental clarity, vitality, concentration, motivation, testosterone levels and more. Why? Because a vasectomy only stops sperm from coming out. It changes nothing else about your orgasms.

That means the dangers are the same too…

If you have a vasectomy, you still have to watch out for the the dangers of semen retention. Those dangers include becoming aggressive and hyper focused on sex and porn. The dangers also include getting distracted by sexual thoughts while you’re at work, feeling stagnant, bored, and much more.
